You can help us prevent drowning by volunteering one hour a month to maintain one or more of the life jacket loaner stations in the area.
We are asking for your help to:
- Count the number of life jackets on the stations and fill out the online reporting form.
- Replenish life jackets and brochures on the stations working with the station host.
- Make sure the life jackets are not ripped, torn or defective in any way. If they are, they will need to be removed and given to the station host.
- Help clean life jackets that have become dirty so that they can be returned to the loaner station.
- Neatly arrange the life jackets on the loaner station.
This is a simple and fun activity for a family, a church, a civic club, scouting groups, a local business, retired people, or anyone with an interest in boating safety and giving back to their local community.
You can bring a family member, a friend, or a co-worker to volunteer with you.
We can provide all volunteers with a letter recognizing your service hours or arrange for the station host to sign a volunteer sheet you have.
Thank you for considering to be a life jacket loaner program volunteer!
