Sea Tow Foundation Boating Safety Advisory Council Member Application
Applications are now open for new members of the Sea Tow Foundation™ Boating Safety Advisory Council.
The Advisory Council provides guidance and recommendations on key boating safety initiatives, including the use of required and recommended safety equipment such as life jackets, the importance of boater education and training, promoting the designation of a Sober Skipper on every boating trip, and other critical boating safety issues. Council members represent a diverse cross-section of the marine industry. Members must be employed full time in the boating industry and serve as decision-makers, influencers, or subject-matter experts, and their employer must support their participation and allow time for council involvement. While all boating industry professionals are encouraged to apply, the Sea Tow Foundation is particularly seeking candidates from marine media, marine services (especially insurance), and marine associations.
Council members serve for a two-year term and may serve up to two consecutive terms for a total of four years. Members are expected to attend five to six virtual meetings each year and actively participate in committee work.
